Boathouse Bay Classics – Vintage & Classic Wooden Boat Restorations

In our Boathouse Bay Classics division we have been creating award winning wooden boat restorations since 1989 and are considered one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier Classic wood runabout restoration shops. Offering all services from minor repairs to full frame out Concours restorations there is no job too small or too big that we can't tackle. Joining forces with Absolute Classics Marine – our brokerage division - we can offer you the ultimate in Classic Boat restoration and repair services.

Starting in 1989 as Middleton Boatworks - a one man shop operated by Andrew Middleton - we have grown to be one of the largest shops on the west coast and are now known all over North America with a solid reputation for quality and integrity. In 2006 we changed the name to Boathouse Bay Classics to better reflect our classic boat specialty. Andrew was trained in wooden boat construction methods at the prestigious International Boatbuilding Training College in Lowestoft, England. Upon his return to Canada he decided to open his own shop and was instantly inundated with work from local wood boat owners who had been searching for skilled local wood boat specialists. Soon his work was being noticed by clients outside the local area and in no time he was restoring boats for people from all over the northwest. Today we are a shop with typically up to 5 employees working full and part time on a wide range of restoration projects. We have restored or worked on dozens of classic boats of all shapes and models including Chris Crafts, Century’s, Shepherds, Dodges, Greavettes, Dispro’s, Grand Craft, Hackers, to name a few. Some of our more recent restorations are featured in our gallery. Feel free to review them and we’d love to talk to you about doing a boat for your own personal enjoyment.
