1937 CHRIS-CRAFT 19' CUSTOM - these are the same models that in 1939 were adapted to a full barrel stern and became affectionately known as the true Chris-Craft 'Barrelbacks'.  While ostensibly the exact same hull they had a different deck layout with a higher crown and of course a more tradionally shaped stern area.  Prior to starting a full restoration this boat was in good operating condition and other than a rather amateur refinish years ago and conversion to a 12 volt set up she was essentially an original boat missing just its original bow light.  All hardware was in its original nickel plate. It was in dry storage for many years according to the previous owner.

This boat was sold to the current owner about 4 years ago who was looking for a retirement project. The boat was stripped of all its hardware, interior and the Model K engine removed and was sent out for rebuilding. It was then flipped over and ready for the bottom to be removed. He undertook the restoration with help, after hours, from one our craftsmen to install the new bottom.  Unfortunately a serious accident has made it virtually impossible for the owner to continue with the restoration on his own and even to enjoy the boat should it be finished.  So he has made the tough decision to let someone else finish it.

It comes with a freshly rebuilt original numbers matching engine, enough new mahogany to finish the bottom and any planks needing replacement, all the original hardware that has been re-plated and the running gear.  It is a steal at the asking price of $29,900.00 Canadian but the owner will look at any reasonable offers.  SORRY THIS BOAT JUST SOLD - AFTER A QUICK PARTIAL RESTORATION IN OUR "BOATHOUSE BAY CLASSICS" RESTORATION DIVISION SHE'S OFF TO CALIFORNIA
