1961 SHEPHERD 19'6" MODEL 105 V-DRIVE. - this was a full mostly costmetic restoration to as delivered from the factory condition with the exception of the bottom which was upgraded to a 3M-5200 style bottom with 3 layers of Marine Mahogany Plywood.  The boat was actually in pretty decent condition despite being 50+ years old.  The new owners wanted to be able to trailer the boat so a new bottom was high on their list of upgrades.  The vinyl upholstery was original and had gone somewhat brittle in areas that had been exposed to the sun so the decision was made to seek out new vinyl in correct colors and textures so as to keep it factory correct or as close as possible.  All the original hardware was removed and replated. The correct 'wing' windows were sourced and re-installed - these are rare and often were damaged and removed or lost overboard.  The entire boat was re-wired and the Stewart Warner gauges were restored to original condition.  The hull & decks were stripped to bare and refinished in the correct stain and bleached design of the 1961 models.  The original numbers matching Gray Marine 327 ci V8 engine with Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmission and Walter V-Drive was removed and completely rebuilt by Keith at K&S Machine here in Kelowna and includes the correct colors and decals.  The original Convertible top was re-covered and a custom waterline cover made.  Overall a very nice boat that should last another 50 years or more.
